Week Four

We were sorry to see our first half campers leave this week but delighted to have a new group arrive on Monday.  After a brief orientation period, the new campers quickly got into the camp routine and are enjoying all of the activities.  Highlights this week included  the Loons camping trip to Crawford Notch Monday through Wednesday followed by the Falcons trip to the same area Wednesday through Friday; a sign-up trip to Acadia National Park where the campers spent 2 nights and had a chance to bike around the park; 2 sailing regattas; a visit from the barbers on Thursday  night with 26 boys getting haircuts; the 3rd Capture-the-Flag game of the season was played on Friday; and on Saturday morning as we headed into breakfast we had  a surprise visit from a former camper when he circled and landed his para-glider on the ball field!   After a few showers on Monday and Tuesday, the weather made a change for the better and we had warm sunny days the rest of the week.
