Week Three

The summer is flying  by - it is very hard to believe that we reached the half-way point this weekend!  Highlights this week include three camping trips, an overnight at Crow's Point for the Mallards and a 3 day trip for both the Ravens and the Cardinals to Lake Umbagog; the Crows walked 2 miles, their part in a 100 mile trek to celebrate 100 years of children's summer camps in Maine;  there was a visit from  Big Wohelo (our sister camp) relatives on Tuesday and on Thursday  we visited Little Woholo relatives;  a dance Friday night at Wohelo for the upper bunkline; a home swim meet on Saturday morning and on Saturday night, the weather cooperated and we burned the 4th of July bonfire - just 10 days late! On Sunday the whole camp went to Wohelo for Hiiteni Sunday which is a celebration of the camps' founders. In addition there were 3 soccer games, 2 baseball games, 2 tennis matches, an archery and riflery meet, and a sailing regatta all against other area camps. The weather this week was a little cooler than normal with at least one thunder shower each day but it certainly didn't slow us down!
